This Jedi Knight was appointed to serve as the watchman of the planet Kashyyyk during the height of the Clone Wars, replacing Jedi Master Yoda who had agreed to become a military leader for the Old Republic. Although Senator Yarua was unconvinced that the Wookiees should remain loyal to the Republic, Justiss believed that the Wookiees would remain staunch supporters of the Old Republic.
